Do you love the red rocks of the southeast and need a break from Las Vegas? If so, then drive an hour to Valley of Fire State Park. When you arrive, make your way to the “secret” Fire Wave.
Thermopolis is home to the world’s largest mineral hot spring and if you don’t believe me then read the large sign on the side of a the hill. A very cool town worth a visit.
Badlands National Park is a stunningly beautiful area. Once you experience a sunrise, sunset, a sunny day or even a passing storm, you will fall in love with this park.
Do you love arches, hiking and exploring? Then Double O Arch in Moab is where you want to go. It’s a great place to spend a day and find the many arches on this trail. Get your camera ready!
Devils Tower, a sight we’ve always wanted to visit but never made time for…until now. A natural phenomenon in the middle of open prairie. What a stunning sight!

Stunning views from the Stone Fire Lookout Tower at the top of Black Elk Peak / Harney Peak. It’s also sacred ground to Native Americans and a place of reflection.
Great hike that initially descends into the gulch over slick boulders. Very scenic trail with lots of mossy rocks, trees, water crossings and some small waterfalls. Sunday Gulch Trail is lots of fun.
Cathedral Spires & Little Devils Tower are two great hikes in South Dakota with open fields, rock scrambling and dramatic mountain views.
